Giveaway Day/Week: Fabric, Pattern and Lil' Twister Tool!

Hi fellow quilters,

I’m participating in the Giveaway Day organized by Sew Mama Sew.

My giveaway includes a bundle of Moda batiks, Quilt Moments’ Twister Sparkler pattern, and the Lil’ Twister tool.  Just add some background fabric and you’ll be able to make the fun holiday Twister Sparkler wallhanging shown in the photo, or use the fat quarters for whatever project you wish!

The fabrics in the giveaway include a 21 fat quarter pack of the entire Moda Joy batiks collection by Laundry Basket Quilts.  That’s the equivalent of 5-1/4 yards of fabric!  Use some of the red & green fat quarters from the bundle and add some yardage of cream fabric to make the fun holiday Twister Sparkler wallhanging shown in the photo, or use the fat quarters for whatever project you wish!

The Twister Sparkler pattern includes 6 sizes mini to king.

The Lil’ Twister tool is used with 5″ squares to make pinwheels from a simple grid of squares.  A fat quarter can yield (12) 5″ squares, so you can do lots of twisting with a fat quarter bundle!

  14. I have never used the twister ruler, but I did send a ruler and pattern to an online quilty friend in Australia. She had never used it either, but there’s a great tutorial on how to use it made by the Fat Quarter Shop.

  38. What a fantastic giveaway bundle. I’ve used the lil twister, primititve and the itty bitty twister. I use the lil for table runners and the primitive for mugrugs. I love them in any size!

  176. I have the Twister Tool that yields a 3″ finished block. I have used it to make the Twister Tote from Around the Bobbin and a runner to cover the top of my mom’s new TV stand. I love the tool and how easy it is to use, but I don’t know how to quilt the finished item. I don’t know how to free motion, and my stitch in the ditch leaves a bit to be desired. Please talk about that in a future blog post.
